Upon graduating high school, Lorenzo went on to Cal Poly where he earned majored in Ag Business with a minor in viticulture. As all young men tend to do, he opted to explore something away from his roots and hired on with Cal Fire rising to the rank of Captain in the very short span of 10 years. Though he was dedicated to the mission, his heart yearned for the independence and dynamism of running his own agriculture oriented venture.
At 30 years old Lorenzo assume a bigger role in Pacini Wine Distributions and oversaw exponential growth in all sectors. In 2018 he purchased his first vineyard in Mendocino County and then went on to buy another vineyard in Lake County shortly thereafter. Knowing the wholesale and retail market of the finished product, he was well positioned to use this knowledge to leverage himself into not only being a good farmer but also a fiscally successful one. There is a large gap between being a good farmer and being a good farmer that can monetize his efforts – Lorenzo truly understands what that takes and because of this his knowledge has been sought by many leaders of the industry.
In fact so much so that in 2022 Superior Court of California retained him as their consultant in array of agriculture related issues that arise in litigation. In additions to his personal agricultural ventures and consulting business, Lorenzo also is Director of Vineyards for Shannon Ranches.
Lorenzo brings pragmatic financial analysis to complex commercial agricultural transactions with a knowledge garnered from boots on the ground real experience. In an industry awash in backroom technocrats analyzing ag from the comforts of a conference room, Lorenzo is a breath of fresh air. Real analysis requires real experience and Lorenzo brings that to CCA.
